Listed! IGTM & IndieWire's Influencers

Hey Everyone,

Some really cool news today:  We were recently listed as part of IndieWire’s inaugural ‘Influencers’ List.  Here’s a note about the list...

Indiewire Influencers is dedicated to 40 of the people and companies who have captured our attention as we watch them try to figure out what the independent film industry is today and, more importantly, what it will become.

We’re very honored and humbled to be included - especially when you take a glance at the amazing names involved.   It's especially gratifying is to be listed next to a lot of the people/friends who helped make IGTM what it is today - VHX, Kickstarter, Janet Pierson, Sundance, Marc SchillerRead the full list here.

If you want to know exactly why we’re on the list, please take a look at our IGTM case study.  In that we spell out how we produced and distributed the film.

Thank you so much to IndieWire for the inclusion and super kind words.  And thank you to everyone who watched/supported the film, read the case study and/or took notice in other ways.

-James & Lisanne

p.s. HUGE thank you to Nik Thavisone for the wonderful photo

IGTM At the Munich Film Festival

Hey Everyone,

We're super pleased and honoured to let you know that Indie Game: The Movie is screening at the Munich Film Festival on July 6th.  The film is part of the festival's Games section.  Quite a nice program of game-centric works.  The festival looks amazing, definitely worth checking out if your in the Munich-ish part of the world.

Jim's New Solo Album is Out!

Today, Jim Guthrie released his first solo album in ten years! We've had the good fortune doing some early listening to 'Takes Time'.  It is an absolutely beautiful album, and we can't recommend enough.   Go give it a listen - your ears will love it.

While both lyrically and melodically Guthrie mines beauty from simplicity, this is an album full of bizarre, charming details — small gifts that only reveal themselves upon multiple listens. - Exclaim

You can pick up the digital album, physical LP and other Jim goodies here.

(Oh, just to connect the dots here:  If you didn't already know, Jim also did the soundtrack for Indie Game: The Movie, Sword & Sworcery, and a ton more)
